About Us

A Mountain Home Built with Heart
Welcome to The Leopard’s Den, a peaceful family-run homestay tucked away in the quiet beauty of Sirmaur Valley, Himachal Pradesh — just 3.5 km ahead of Rajgarh.
This isn’t a hotel. It’s a lived-in home with soul, created with love and care by Om Prakash Madan, a man deeply connected to the mountains. With a natural gift for architecture, a love for food, art, and the outdoors, he dreamt of a place that felt warm, real, and rooted. He personally helped design and build every part of this space, brick by brick.
Though Om Prakash is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in every corner of The Leopard’s Den. Today, his wife and daughter lovingly run the homestay — continuing his dream and welcoming guests with the same care and warmth he poured into creating it.

Thoughtful Stays
Each of our five stays is unique — from cozy studios to spacious cottages. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, you'll find a space that feels like home.
Home-Cooked Meals
We serve fresh, home-style meals — made with care and on request. Enjoy them outdoors when it’s sunny or inside when it’s chilly. Nothing is pre-made or rushed.
Pet-Friendly
We happily welcome pets — they’re part of your family, and ours too. We also make sure your pets and our resident dogs feel comfortable around each other.
Mountain Living
Every cottage offers a special touch — a fireplace, a sunset view, or a quiet nook. The peaceful setting invites you to slow down and relax.
Honest Hospitality
This is a family-run homestay, not a hotel. We don’t offer round-the-clock service, but your hosts are always nearby and happy to help.
Easy Escape
We’re just 3 hours from Chandigarh and 7 from Delhi. A quiet escape — easy to reach, yet far enough to truly unwind.
Personal Note from the hosts
How We Feel About This Place
Living in the mountains isn’t always easy. Accessibility can be a real challenge—from power cuts during heavy snowfall to long drives just to get basic supplies or medical help. The Internet can be patchy, and simple things often take more time and effort. But in all of this, we’ve learned to slow down, adjust, and truly live with what we have.
Despite these challenges, we wouldn’t trade this life for anything. Living in Himachal has made us appreciate the small, beautiful things—quiet mornings, clean air, fresh food, and the gentle pace of nature. It’s a cleaner, greener, and more mindful way of living, and we’re incredibly grateful to call this place home.

From Our Family to Yours
Thank you for considering The Leopard’s Den. We hope to welcome you soon, and help you slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect — with nature, with quiet, and maybe even with yourself.
